Whitney & Jesse's Reception

Our neighbors back yard where the Reception was going to be.
Its so beautiful, this is actually our back yard,
but our neighbor has been taking care of it for 3o years.
Its ours in name only. I couldn't keep it looking this nice.

It so beautiful, this is what I see from my kitchen window

The purple flowers are so pretty

held by one of his Aunts.

We had Whitney & Jesse's long awaited wedding reception last night. Whitney had been planning for months to have it in our neighbors back yard. She has wanted to have it there since she was little. What you plan and what actually happens sometimes are 2 different things. All week we watched the weather forecast, as it had rained everyday. The early forecast was no rain for Saturday, but Thursday night said it different. I had gotten the church reserved just in case we needed to have it there, much to Whitney's disappointment the church was it.
The decorator was wonderful, she brought the church to life. I borrowed some planters and other live flower arrangements from wonderful friends to bring the outdoors in. I didn't get any of those pictures showing more of the decorations, I guess I was too busy doing other things. I'll have to rely on Whitney's friend who was the photographer to get me those and the family pictures, I forgot to have someone take those pictures with my camera. Inspite of all the rain that came in buckets before the reception started we still managed to have a good turnout. We couldn't have pulled it off without the help of family members and friends. I hope it was what Whitney wanted. She is moving onto another stage in her life, she's got college to look forward too, getting her first job as a CNA or a phlebotomist, and be able to spend a little more time with her children.

That really is a gorgeous garden! I'm sorry that the rain interfered with the plans - but I'm glad that things turned out well!

Best of luck to Whitney in all her future endeavors!
